Isaiah's Writing on the Theme of Surprise

LO: I am using excellent vocabulary, description and technique to write a passage that surprises my reader or my character. “Come on! We have to work on our science project” urged Zack. It was William’s birthday and his Dad was throwing him a party. “Let’s go to your hou-“ “No! Your house” Zack interrupted. Eventually, the boys started to stroll to William’s enormous, three-bedroom house. Zack opened the diamond-encrusted door for Williams to enter casually. The living room was as silent as a graveyard. He didn’t see any presents so that was a downer. Instantly, the room erupted quickly into “Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear William! Happy birthday to you!” William’s jaw dropped like he was gasping for breath. His eyes widened like two black buttons. “W...w...w...what happened? stammered William “It’s you’re party” hollered Dad, hugging William with joy. “Do you really think I would forget your party. Here are your pres-“ “Did you guess from the way I was behaving?” Zack interjected. “Where’s my cake?” William asked “Here it is. Your favourite, Lemon Drizzle Cake”. Dad answered. All of his friends were there. Even the most popular girl, Evon was there.
